Summer

Summer is right around the corner and sooner then we would all like the children will be moving into first grade.  Please make sure you are helping them grow by reading and writing as much as they can.  Count with them when ever possible.  Sneaking it up on them on the drive to Walmart is a great way to make the most of your time in the car together. 

Valentine's Day

We will have our Valentine's day party on Thursday at 2pm.  All store bought treats are welcomed. 

Also if you are interested in volunteering for our field trip please make sure you have filled out the packet in the office and gotten you fingerprint card.

Progress reports will be coming home on Monday.  Be on the look out for those.  Also some of the students have been invited to attend intercession please look in their folders or backpacks for the paper.  It needs to be signed and returned as soon as possible.

Break

We are so excited to have some time to enjoy our families.  I would just like to let you know we will be doing our DIBELS test as soon as we return from break.  Please continue to work with your children on letter names and sounds.  Breaking words down into their sounds and identifying the fist sound in each word. 
Also remember to count with them in places they don't expect.  For example counting the steps to the car or the at a stop light.

Field Trip

Reminder

We need lots of volunteers for our field trip.  Please see Mrs. Patty to get the volunteer packet and fingerprint info as soon as possible.  Our goal is to have one adult for every 4 students.  It takes 4-6 weeks for fingerprints to clear.

If you are able to donate any of these items please send them in with you child as soon as possible.
